INSIDE HYBERBARIC CHAMBER

Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, the unit provides Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) for diving emergencies, carbon monoxide poisoning and elective treatment of certain wounds and infections.

A common emergency treated at the unit is decompression sickness (the bends). Recompression in a chamber is the definitive therapy and should be commenced as soon as possible.

This website is intended to promote the unit and to raise awareness of HBO. Information is available to the general public, patients, divers and healthcare professionals.
